Pakistan's Test cricketer Junaid Khan believes that current cricketers should not share unnecessary opinions.

"When Imam wasn't a part of the World Cup squad, he used to sit on television and share his analysis, which in my opinion, is wrong - PCB shouldn't have permitted that. If Imam criticized anyone or pointed fingers at others, it would eventually impact the team's unity. But apparently, we are far away from acknowledging these factors," said Khan in one of his recent interviews.

"Imam started giving his personal opinions even during pressers that Haris shouldn't play or not, likewise if Iftikhar should play or not. Neither he is captain nor a vice-captain - so how can he give opinions in the air like these?" he raised concerns.

Imam, during the ODI series against New Zealand, came in trouble after he said Iftikhar and Haris weren't the need of the team.

"If I tell you honestly, I don’t think so, because we don’t have time to do experiments, and with Agha [Salman], Shadab [Khan] and [Mohammad] Nawaz, we have enough power-hitting in our ranks. We just need to give them confidence. Sometimes it is very different to come at number five or six and play only six or seven overs," Imam had responded to a query during a press conference in Karachi.

"We could have given chance to Haris and Iftikhar if we had more matches. That is what I think. Babar might think differently. We have only two matches left, so we need to go into a big event after giving full confidence to our players," he had added.
