Dezeen Showroom: Swiss brand Impact Acoustic and designer Jeffrey Ibañez have released a duo of acoustic lighting fixtures that combine illumination with sound absorption.
The light comes in two size formats – a smaller version named Sensa and a larger version called Densa – that share a slimline form designed to integrate seamlessly into office interiors. Acoustic Ceiling Tiles 2x4
Both sizes contain LED technology that helps to cast strong, evenly distributed light.
The light is encased in a thick, cleated layer of acoustic material cut with rhythmic vertical striations that aid in sound dampening.
Designed to blend into a range of office schemes, Sensa and Densa are available in 32 colour options, including bright primary colours, deep shades, pastels and neutral hues.
The lights are intended to be used in tandem with other acoustic wall coverings and ceiling treatments to provide improved sound insulation in interiors.
