The Chicago Cubs come to Minneapolis over Mother’s Day Weekend. A week later the San Francisco Giants come to Target Field for just the second time ever (although they did come last season). It’ll mark just the third time since 2005 that the Giants have played in Minnesota. Both series feature promos, adding even extra incentive to see a pair of National League teams that don’t often roll through Minneapolis (the Cubs have been to Minnesota just three time since 2006). Hardest Promo: T-Shirt Tuesday (May 23rd vs. San Francisco)
There’s a theme developing here, and it’s that T-Shirt Tuesday is going to be a hot resale item on eBay. The first two T-Shirt nights are against the Yankees — a big draw — and the Giants, a team that when they pop up on the schedule will likely bring out fans hoping to see a team they don’t often get a chance to.
